I leave no detail unattended, from textures of fabrics and wall coverings to lighting and acoustics to hand-curated pieces. I also design original pieces of furniture for the discerning client when nothing else will do. The creative, bespoke interior is my specialty, and I love seeing my clients’ eyes light up at each design stage.

Relocation Services

Moving into the Sarasota/Bradenton/Venice areas?  I specialize in designing entire homes and condos while you are living in another city, state, or country.

Your home will be fully furnished, decorated, and move-in ready for your arrival!

Commercial

Commercial space needs to be inviting to visitors while also fostering collaboration and productivity among workers. These interiors need to provide the visitor an experience specific to each business.  Acoustics and color psychology are essential elements.  I have designed spaces for businesses ranging from country clubs to medical facilities, banks, and other fascinating spaces.

Beginning with the initial consultation and through every stage of the design process, I will conceptualize and communicate the vision with you.

Personally managing everything, from vendors, tradespeople, warehousing, and deliveries, right through the installation is part of my concierge design service.

Designer

Joan Greenfield graduated from Temple University (Philadelphia) with a BSN in Nursing, but a significant change occurred when she went to her first Designer Showcase House in her hometown of Philadelphia and found her new passion. Becoming an Interior Designer was her grand obsession from that point on. She graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA in Interior Design and Space Planning in 1987 and has never looked back.

Joan’s interior design projects range from large commercial installations, such as the Sarasota Community Blood Bank and the Palm Aire Country Club, to many luxury residential homes looking for a wow factor.  Modern and contemporary interior design styles are the firm’s primary focus, but Joan’s firm has executed many other styles. Her attention to detail, active listening skills, and multi-faceted styles and colors have been a delight to all who have engaged her services.

In addition to her interior design skills, Joan is adept at furniture design, inspirations for the future of technology in design, custom art design, floral arranging, and fine art selection. Fee-Based Design

Just doing a room or office? I can personally help you with everything, from creating a new vision for the space, to total project management through completion. You relax while I take care of all the details. After an in-depth evaluation, I will create a plan and let you know my flat design fee in advance. Regular updates will be sent to you as the project proceeds.  

My rate covers all my activities related to the project, including travel time to the client or site and work in my studio.

This is perfect for entire homes, estates, and commercial properties. I will personally create the design concept and oversee all project elements, from selecting fabrics to scheduling and supervising subcontractors to custom designing pieces for you.
